With our national strength growing, Information science and computer technologycontinues to evolve, and increasing people’s living standards. In light and heavy industryworkers, modernization of agriculture production, modern livestock production, social,entertainment, public places, personnel-intensive production by increasing need forquantitative timing monitoring and real-time control of the concentration of carbon dioxidegas. According to the actual need to test and develop a high sensitivity, good selectivity andstability, high precision, small volume of carbon dioxide gas detector is essential, so theconcentration of carbon dioxide gas detector on the new direction of development in thefield of gas concentration detection. Carbon dioxide detector is mainly divided into thepump suction gas detector the diffused gas detector, spectral infrared gas concentrationdetection equipment. Spectral infrared gas detector filter type, scanning, and Fouriertransform-type fixed optical path multi-channel detection type and solid-state modulatortype.Studied herein, carbon dioxide detector is based MSP430F435microcontrollerdeveloped and designed. The instrument has automatically detect the concentration ofcarbon dioxide in air, in the the detected excessive concentration of carbon dioxide alarmbuzzer, LED lights and motor. The instrument has two upper machine and lower machinepart, the host computer by PC-based operating system and application software, has a goodhuman-computer interaction systems, a friendly man-machine interface. Aspects throughthe host computer machine operator is able to control the next bit machine. Lower machineis mainly composed by MSP430F435microcontroller, sensors, alarm, power control system,able to receive the signal coming from the host computer, and a corresponding function.Signals to adjust the detection of carbon dioxide concentration standards, and set differentalarm.According to the characteristics of the carbon dioxide detector, the system functionsand requirements analysis, and hardware and software to do the overall structure of thedesign. Choose more appropriate to the system in the current market and the higher cost ofhardware chip, analysis of the functions of the various hardware circuit. Selection of theMSP430F435microcontroller as lower core chip, the chip can efficiently execute code; Temperature and humidity through the carbon dioxide in the temperature and humiditysensor detects air Telaire T6615coefficient, and A/D conversion by the signal passed tothe MSP430F435micro controller; NCP1421chip as the core design of the power supplysystem, capable of detecting power whether due to electricity; PL2303USB to serial UARTconversion; next bit machine design a pen segment liquid crystal display provides CO2,temperature and humidity information graphics display. PC software consists of fourmodules: serial communication module, protocol analysis module, data processing moduleand human-machine interaction module. VC prepared by serial monitoring CO2datamanagement, dialog boxes, and the like to achieve the function of each module andinteractive work, parsing the carbon dioxide record. Finally, by GDI, multi-threadedtechnology to achieve a real-time graphical display of the carbon dioxide data.
