The Research And Design Of ISM Band Rectenna Based On The Micro-strip Circuit

This paper designed the ISM band rectenna for2.45GHz based on the principle ofmicro-strip circuit. The antenna、 Low-Pass Filter and rectifier circuits are firstdesigned and measured separately. Finally, they are combined to form the completerectenna.The received antenna is designed with low-cost smaller photonic band gap (PBG)structure improving the gain of the rectenna. The defected ground structure (DGS) isintroduced to design the low pass filter for a simple design. The match circuit betweenthe50line and the RF-DC rectifying circuits is designed by ADS to make the rectifiedcircuit work normally. Finally, the designs of all parts are combined to form thecomplete rectenna for2.45GHz.And the photonic band gap structure and the defectedground structure in this design reduced the size of the whole rectenna.After the test, the gain of the rectenna for2.45GHz is4.29dBi, and the highestefficiency is63%.This research has reached the domestic normal level.This papervalidated the ability of this rectenna to drive the low power load in ISM bandmicrowave beam of low power density with light emitting diode. The test resuils showthat this rectenna for2.45GHz can work with a high efficiency greater than50%inmicrowave beam with the low power density from2to20mW/cm~2. The introduce ofthe photonic band gap structure and the defected ground structure reduced the size ofthe whole rectenna. And this design of rectenna of2.45GHz can be applied formicrowave power supply to low power load, such as radio frequency identificationsystem, wireless sensor network system and micro mechanical system.
