Nowadays, the developments of technology are fast-changing. We are enjoying theconvenience it bring about, withstanding the negative impacts due to excessive exploitation ofnature. It has been threaten to our health progressively which are ground water polluted bychemical wastewater, harmful dust in the atmosphere, and so on. The safety of the factoryenvironments are reduced seriously by flammable and explosive gases engendered byindustrial activity. Therefore, it is an urgent need to fulfill the task of monitoring these hazardsin time using high sensitive sensor.The feature test accuracy of optical cavity, which is the core components of highsensitive sensor, determines the sensor sensitivity. Cavity ring-down spectroscopy couldmeasure photon storage time of the cavity directly. The cavity characteristic parameters anddamping parameters can be worked out by the measure result.It is started with the resonant optical transfer function of the cavity in this paper and thecontinue cavity ring-down principle measuring photon storage time was elaborated. Two setsof experiment system have been built separately according to different order, which are usedto testing storage time of micro cavity and fiber ring resonator respectively. Firstly, thecontrast experiments of storage time extract method have been simulated and the data fittingpattern compatible was chosen. Then, we tested the sensor response properties and analysisthe effects on the testing results. The laser output frequency stabilization and control randomnoise experiments were conducted afterwards. The precise photon storage time of microcavity and fiber ring resonator have been checked out successfully.
