With the rapid development of the national economy,as well as the acceleration of economic globalization, China’s industrial enormous changes. To promote production efficiency, improve product quality, optimize production processes, PLC control system as a mainstream which has played an important role. The focus of this paper is to establish a modular programming design method, this design method to resolve the existing contradictions. The article through research and demonstration, the final selection is based on the ISA-88launched by the International Organization for Standardization theoretical basis.In the article focuses on the ISA-88terminology and model on the concept of separation procedures and equipment, and in-depth discussion of the ISA-88given in the first part of the core concept-the procedures and physical models combined theory be used for process control. Meet IEC61131-3sequential function chart programming language in the programming language, focusing on using sequential function charts is given to the steps of the program, and to clarify the characteristics of the Sequential Function Chart in writing to meet the technological requirements of the program, as while as convenient for debugging. This paper also discusses the concept of program states and state transitions, and provides detailed design ideas. This design approach in order to better the applications discussed in this article, selected PLC’s choice is Rockwell’s Logix platform PLC. Combined with the characteristics of the PLC, the specific ideas proposed standard implementation. And by kalamycin as an engineering example of this design method validation.This thesis is the first study some of the contradictions that exist in reality, as well as the development of domestic and international situation and solution ideas, and cited the real problem unresolved. The main part of the article details the ISA-88concepts, models, on the basis of in-depth understanding of these concepts PLC, Rockwell Logix platform for the implementation of the platform. The article gives a detailed idea on the implementation of the modular design method. Design method is applied at the end of the article, and engineering example is given, and program development. Brief description of final summary of knowledge of the subject and conclusions, and the need to further improve.
