| The Remotely piloted vehicle is type of the land mobile robots. By analysis of outside information, it can make decision and control own actions automatically.By analysis of the function of the current vehicle location system, the data information collected by the vehicle location system can only be used by the short-rang monitor, namely these information only can be used by drivers. While this traditional system ignores the utilization of remote monitor. This paper introduces the new GPS navigation system which was designed based on the embedded system with GPS, GPRS General Packet combination of wireless technology.The main work of this paper is the research and design of the GPS guidance system of the unmanned vehicles. There are three steps associated with design process, which will be summarized as following:Firstly, characteristics and the working procedure of the new GPS navigation system are respectively introduced. Secondly, combining with the developments of modern technology, the hardware circuit is designed. Specifically, based on the core of S3C2440microcontroller, the vehicle terminal system can be divided into several functional module and circuit module, namely, GPS receiver module, information processing module, remote wireless transmitter module, as well as monitoring terminal to receive and display module. This design mode which is the combination of the high performance ARM chip, GPRS wireless communication technology and modular functional circuit, can make the GPS navigation system satisfy the demands of remotely piloted vehicles. Thirdly, in order to improve the timeliness and reliability of the system, S3C2440chip embedded Linux operating system during design process of the software. Moreover, the PHP scripting language is applied on the remote monitoring terminal, which supports the vehicles’location display. The system show the positioning information of the unmanned vehicle and gives the image of the position in real time. Besides, the positioning accuracy of the system is controled in10meters. Finally, combing the software and hardware design, both of the debug strategy and performance test are implemented in this system. |
