Android is a software platform for mobile devices that includes an operatingsystem, middleware and key applications. Those Android phone s are favored by userssince they came to the market. One of the features that Android Phone owns is thecustomizable Home Page, which is widely operated and accepted by users. However, there are still a lot of issues around usability on Home Page. The project that isdiscussed in this paper was originated from Motorola CXD-Consumer ExperienceDesign department in Beijing, whis was to explore users’operating or using problemson HomePage based on Interaction Design knowledge, so that designers are able tocarry out solutions and new designs. This paper mainly includes three steps. Firstly, researchers define the target userwho are aged from20to35and create users’ Mental Model and Task Model byanalysing target users’ features and demands based on the data from user research.Secondly, this paper creates the Expression Model by researching the Home Page onMotorola Android Phone and makes a conclusion about the design pricinple andevaluative criteria for the final prototype design. Lastly, this paper finishes thefidelity prototypes depending on the Motorola Android Phone interface carrier. There are mainly two innovations of this paper. One is acquiring users’ potentialdemands and the improvement opportunities on Home Page through Method both inSocial Anthropology and Artistic Design Theories. The other is designing fidelityprototypes about the High-frequency App, Specific Space Hint, CustomizableWidget Resize, Optimize Operation and Extend Prompt Info with experts’ Feasibilityevaluation. This paper fills the research gap on Home Page and lays the foundation forfollow-up study.
