In recent years, embedded systems have been applied in a wide range of areas. As the same time,Internet is also developing rapidly. The monitoring system based on embedded web server is a new technology, combining the embedded system and Internet.Under the help of the new monitoring system,we can realize the remote monitoring. The new monitoring system has satisfied the needs of expansibility, distribution as well as real-time performance of modern monitoring and controlling system. The technology has a broad application prospect in the future.Based on the first version of shipboard satellite communication earth station completed several years ago,the project has updated the main controlling chip to ARM processor AT91SAM9G45.In order to realize monitoring system function,it requires that a embedded Linux operating system must be transplanted to the ARM processor so that it’s able to build the software development platform and configure software such as Boa and SQlite.Key and the most difficult point in the project for developers is how to code the CGI files, and mastering the knowledge on IPC,Ajax and JavaScript is a must. Some innovations are included in this thesis.Updating the main controlling chip and completing the driver’s programming so the monitoring system can perform faster and better.By adopting the new B/S monitoring mode, users can monitor the earth station from a long distance away.Compared to the original C/S mode,B/S monitoring mode is more convenient and easier for users.Thirdly,it is realistic for developer to store files in the server-side’s ARM chip.So the system is more secure.
