With the development of communication technologies, the integration between differentaccess networks has become the destined trend of communication. It can use multiple wirelessaccess technologies to improve the utilization of spectrum resources and network capacity.Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is one of the hot technologies, which allows the directcommunication between devices when they are in close proximity. The key technology of D2Dis the interference coordination between D2D and cellular system.Based on the author’s research experience in the NSFC project, the thesis discusses existinginternational research results on D2D radio resource management and proposes D2D resourcesharing technologies and algorithms within LTE network.First of all, the research background and contents are outlined. Then, a brief introduction tothe state-of-the-art of D2D technology is given, including the session management, channelmeasurement and D2D radio resource management. Furthermore, a D2D system-level simulationplatform is proposed with the introduction of its structure, function modules and simulationflows presented. The simulator is used to verify the follow-up algorithm. Then, the thesis presents a mathematical model allowing single D2D user pair sharingmultiple cellular users’ resources and designs the corresponding centralized scheduling algorithmbased on greedy strategy. Simulation results have shown that the proposed algorithm canguarantee the cellular system exempt from the D2D interference and increase the throughput ofD2D system, effectively improving the resource utilization. Finally, the thesis presents a mathematical model allowing multiple D2D user pairs sharingmultiple cellular users’resources. Apotential game model based on non-cooperative game theoryis proposed accordingly. It is proved that the model can converge to the unique Nash equilibriumpoint. Then the thesis designs a corresponding algorithm which allows D2D users to choose theappropriate resources and powers, and the system will convergence to the Nash equilibrium point. The simulation results shown that the proposed algorithm is of good performance with lowercomplexity.
