Long Term Evolution (LTE) is the next mobile broadband network standard of3GPP,whichis compatible with current3G systems. LTE system has the features of high transmission rate,overlay the region wide, short accessing time, high spectrum efficiency etc. So the study of LTEtechnology is of great significance.This thesis focuses on the physical layer uplink, and the research mainly involves thefollowing aspects. Firstly, this thesis mainly studies efficient physical layer algorithms and do themodular design for the entire uplink system. Secondly, some of the researches and the realization ofthe key technology in the realization of LTE uplink system are discussed. The third chapterdiscusses the synchronization problem of OFDM system, and chapter4discusses the problem ofthe channel estimation and equalization. Thirdly, the thesis achieve simulate communicationbetween UE and eNodeB in DSP hardware platform.Synchronization is a very crucial technical problem in OFDM system, the thesis study thesynchronization issue in the detailed theory elaboration and introduced its theory constitution.Finally, it proposed a more comprehensive solution. In chaper4, two basnerions, LS and MMSE,for channel extimation is introduced, and the simulation results are given.
