The future broadband wireless communication systems are expected to provide ubiquitous, high-reliability, and high-data-rate mobile multimedia transmission. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a multi-carrier transmission, which can be seen as a modulability and a multiplexing. Because of high band-width efficiency and few cost, OFDM has been realized in transceivers. With more and more requirement on the digital, wideband, personal and mobile communication, OFDM and its related techniques have found its wide applications in most scientific fields. The estimation of the synchronization and channel parameters with multi-path fading is a crucial task in broadband wireless communication systems. In recent years, many algorithms only estimate one of three parameters such as symbol timing synchronization, carrier frequency offset, and channel parameter. In order to not only effectively enhance the transmission rate and capacity of the wireless communication system but also effectively combat multi-path fading and interfere, the three correlated parameters should be estimated jointly. In this paper, based on the introduction of fading channel, the basic...
