In recent years, the events of sudden death sometimes occur in China among those people whotake their exercises, especially with the largest proportion of students. Statistical data show that thesudden cardiac deaths accounted for the vast majority of the total in numerous sudden death cases.According to reports, the sudden cardiac deaths are primarily caused by strenuous exercises andsports competitions, because excessive exerices can easily induce the congenital heart disease orsudden myocardial infarction. Therefore, it is necessary to design a set of exercise intensitydetection equipment applicable to general people. The main purpose of this research is to makeexercise intensity and individual health link closely.PCG and ECG contain a wealth of physiological information as two most importantphysiological signals of human body. The niose, distortion and some minor changes of PCG andECG appears in each cardic cycle are used to diagnose the healthy condition of heart which isdirectly determines the intensity of exercise.In order to study the property of heart sounds better and master the relationship between thiskind of signal and heart health, we firstly study the characteristics of parameters of the two signals,including analyze the the meanings, characteristics of the signal and the theoretical algorithms ofvarious characteristic parameters separately in the time-domain, frequency-domain and othercomputing domains. Then, the accuracy, effectiveness, advantages and disadvantages of cardiachealth characterized by the characteristic parameters were compared. And a new algorithm ofexercise intensity detection was presented in this paper based on PCG, ECG energy quotient method.In the new algorithm, the PCG and ECG signals were resolved of wavelet packet in accordancewith their normal frequency distribution and the normalized energy of each sub-band was calculated.To compare the ratio of each sub-band energy and total energy, we can easily determine thecondition of heart health. Subsequently, a lot of simulation experiments were carried out based onthe PCG and ECG data we collected.The simulation results show that the exercise intensity detection methods analyzed in this paperhave great classification and recognition effects with adjustability detecting standards. Not onlygive an objective evaluation of the constitution of general people but also put forward reasonableproposals for their exercise intensity. Subsequently, an exercise intensity detector implementationwas studied with its objects mainly as students, and then focus on the analysis of factors that affect the exercise intensity of general people and improve detection algorithm, eventually propose asolution of universal human motion intensity detector hardware.
