The technique on imaging and detecting of moving targets has become a crucial research direction in modern airborne radar field. It is widely used in both military and civilian areas. In the paper, I conducted my research on imaging and detecting of moving targets with the Fractional Fourier Transform(FrFT) and the main content included the following aspects:1. The FrFT’s principles and applications are researched, I verified the linear frequency modulation signal(LFM) had the better focusing capability in FrFT’s domain by analysis and simulation. Employing the character, we could separate the single component LFM signal from the multi-component ones and then estimate their parameters in different background.2.I conducted the research on Airborne SAR imaging technology. Primarily, the SAR’s principle, classical Range-Doppler imaging and Chirp-Scaling algorithm are introduced. Moreover, the LFM signal focusing capability in matched filtering and FrFT domain is discussed. Finally, the FrRD algorithm and FrCS algorithm are proposed, the simulation results show that they have lower side lobe and more distinct imaging boundary comparing to the classical one.3. For airborne SAR, the echo signal of ground moving target is close to linear frequency modulation signal. Therefore, we could proceed to detect moving target and estimate doppler parameter by utilizing Fractional Fourier Transform. Likewise, the effectiveness of the method could be verified by the theoretical analysis and simulation.
