3-D seismic data volume used in volume rendering algorithm is generally relatively large.In the process of the realization of the ray casting algorithm, multiple data existed in the data slice which perpendicular to the ray casting direction is mapped to a pixel and can not display directly.The general method is difficult to solve this problem effectively.In the first experiment of this paper, rarefy the original data by multiple wavelet decomposition until the mapping ratio of the data volume decomposed and pixel point is close to1, and display the3-D data volume with ray casting algorithm.The data decomposed contains the key information continually and the noise information in original data volume is reduced by wavelet decomposition theory. This experiment also confirms the feasibility and effectiveness of this method.By the principle of the LOD(level of detail) in the computer graphics, we can decompose the original data with wavelet transform.According to the display scale needed,Apply the corresponding accuracy data for visualization calculating. Not only can reduce the amount of computation effectively and to improve the calculation speed, but also can retain the main information of the corresponding accuracy. The second experiment of this paper achieves a multi-resolution of3-D seismic data visualization system. We can view the different resolution display of the3-D seismic data.If we want to observe the specific of an area,we can improve the accuracy to observe the details of the region; If we want to observe the whole framework of the geological layer and pay less attention to the detail information,We can lower the display accuracy so that the research object is transferred and observe the whole framework information.Based on the realization of the above idea,we can not only provide a visual platform of3-D data volume,but also can adjust the accuracy to observe the visualizing images of the geological layer in the different accuracy. It is of important significance for the investigation research and analysis of the geology.
