Recently, the traditional Chinese pharmacy gradually exposed its shortcoming such as the low processing speed, the high fault rate and it’s wasting of resources. These disadvantages of the traditional pharmacy not only reduce the efficiency of hospital and effect of patients of medication, but also restricting the development of China’s medical and health. In order to make up for the lack of traditional Chinese pharmacy, this article studies a kind of new pharmacy system automation. This system combined the motion control system, the warehousing system and the information system of hospital together to realize the automatic deployment of digital management of drug storage and prescription.Through analyzing the system requirements, the overall structure of the pharmacy system was designed. Then we describe each part of the composition and its main function of the system. At the same time, we analyze the work flow of the control system.The software and hardware of the two main control panels were designed. By designing the communication protocol of the system and the hardware circuit of communication module, we build the communication net of the system and realize its data communication.Realize the position information collection of encoder through its SSI interface by using CPLD. Combined with motor driver module from DSP board we had the completion of the motor accurate positioning and speed control. And of cause, realize the location of the motion control and automatic drug release.By design and implementation of the fixed storage unit we improve the pharmacy control system. Finally, we do on-site testing for each part and module of the system to achieve the desired effect.
