Fire hazard, as one of the most common disasters in our daily life, severely threatens public safety and social development. The tactical implementation by commanders generally depends on the three-level firefighting radio communication network, where speech communication serves as the major form for the order transmission. The quality of speech communication will be influenced by heavy smoke, high temperature and other vicious environmental factors. Besides, information detected by the firefighters is often limited. The ineffective communication and the incomprehensive information tend to cause disorder and might lead to additional casualty. Considering the great invulnerability and flexibility, this thesis aims to solve the problem of limited information and its impacted transmission on the fire scene by proposing a mobility model for firefighters based on mobile region and mobile trend and then discussing about the opportunistic communication probability in this model.Firstly, the thesis sets the research scene by taking the current rescue method and features in account. Then the opportunistic connectivity will be discussed from two aspects:the overall level and the specific level. At the overall level, we put forward a mobility model based on the firefighters’mobile region and further discuss the connectivity probabilities of the rescue groups on the same layer and adjacent layer. MATLAB can assist to analyse the relationship among the connectivity probability and other parameters. At the specific level, a mobility model of the firefighters’mobile trend will be proposed and further discuss the connectivity maintaining probabilities of the rescue groups according to their moving status. NS2can simulate the situations and assist to analyse the relationship between the connectivity maintaining probabilities and the loss rate of information. Based on the previous results, we propose a complete mobility model for firefighters based on mobile region and mobile trend and discuss the opportunistic communication probabilities between the neighbor rescue groups. Some strageties will be advanced in accordance with the current rescue methods. The results of this thesis enable higher chance of information access for the firefighters and provide support for the working of firefighting communication networks and decision systems. Finally, this thesis points out some problems to be solved and put forward some advices for improvement in the future research.
