With the rapid development of3G (the third generation mobile communication technology) in the global, the coverage of penetration is getting higher and higher, and people have increasingly demand on the communication of high-speed, high-quality and high-coverage. However, due to the popularity of the ultra-portable PC (Ultrabook), tablet PCs, smart phones and other electronic products, which have brought the development of images of high-definition television, high-speed data cloud services (Azure, iCloud), intelligent and compatibility (Siri and multi-network interconnection), people have strongly demand for data service of wireless communication, therefore, the maximum8Mbit/s data rate of the3G provided has been unable to satisfy. So, in response to a low-latency, higher user’s transmission rate, higher channel capacity and coverage, lower operational costs and optimize network structure, LTE (Long Term Evolution) project was officially started, as the air interface technology evolution (3G to4G transition). LTE technology which provided theoretical downlink data rate of100Mbps, gave the huge market of users to establish wireless communication’s milestone.Therefore, this papers give a theoretical and experimental research on MIMO channel model and focus on research and implement of SISO(Single-Input Single-Output), especially MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) channel simulation and verification. The main contents of this paper are as followed:1. This paper gives an overview of LTE’s development and channel modeling progress, including modeling types and progress. We introduced under a variety of communication organizations to standard channel model as well as the popular channel model and analysis of the different model’s applicable environment, and give some comparative analysis of them at the same time.2. We further analysis of the deficiency of the model, which based on wireless outdoor MIMO scattering model, and proposes a new modified outdoor wireless MIMO scattering model (considering the Doppler effect Doppler spectrum), and give verification.3. Throughout the research of channel model, from the theory of wireless fading as the starting point, we simulate a typical single-channel multipath fading based on SISO wireless channel fading verification platform of FGPA-DSP (TMS320C6000series). From multipath fading theory, we research on how to implement wireless fading simulator, then verify and analysis the implement algorithm and the results of performance.4. Based on the research of MIMO theory, we expand SISO wireless channel verification platform to support MIMO (2*2) wireless fading channel configuration, and research how to implement simulation and verification of small-scale fading parameters including channel correlation, angular power spectrum, and Doppler frequency shift, so as to support MIMO channel research and channel simulation.5. According to the research of channel model, we propose a solution of MIMO channel test and verification, and give comprehensive verification and analysis of single-channel fading characteristics and MIMO fading characteristics, and eventually use LTE test signal to analyze the results.
