Research On The Visualization Of Network Public Opinion Of Emergency

China is in the process of social transformation and kinds of emergency appear frequentlytoday. With the development of network, public opinion will be easy to come into being whileemergency information transits via web. If these opinion don’t get well estimated and treated intime, the state of affairs maybe more serious or result in new emergency. The key to disposepublic opinion quickly lies in how to judge opinion and make a decision in time from massiveinformation. However, the present applications of public opinion always acquire superficialinformation and send out an unclear report. It makes decision-makers hard to come to decisionfrom the “knowledge sea”. In order to deal with this problem, this paper adapts visualizationtechnology into the applications of web public opinion. The research on the visualization ofpublic opinion has been done as follows:First, the paper analyses the practice requirement of disposition network public opinionquickly and existed problem of applications, then proposes to imagine network public opinionwith visualization technology. Together with that the content and goal of the visualization ofnetwork public opinion are researched. It makes the route of visualization research ofemergency network public opinion clear.Second, the paper introduces the concepts of network public opinion, analyses datacharacters and types of network public opinion data characters, and classify early-warning of femergency public opinion, which prepares the ground for symbol system and visual expressionfor network public opinion visualization.Third, according to the requirement of early-warning of public opinion, the early-warningof emergency network-level evaluation index system is established in view of the factors ofnetizen, government, public opinion and communication, and illuminates meanings andacquisition of index in detail, laid the foundation for the realization of early-warning of publicopinion.Forth, according to public opinion data characters，it makes public opinion process modeland method clear，and expatiates on principle and realize process in detail. The visual symbolsystem is designed with map symbol design theory, and the visual expression of public opinionis finished on this basisFifth, the system of public opinion visualization is built to test and realize the theories andmethods put forward in the front chapters.
