With the development and expansion of the scale of Wireless Local AccessNetwork (referred to as the WLAN), traditional WLAN network structure is unable tomeet the growing service requirements. An effective proposal on frame structure cando better in distributing and scheduling the system’s radio resources. The proposal canmake it possible to allocate Wireless Access Point (AP) for Wireless Work Station(STA) dynamically and intelligently when deploy Large-Scale AP and make full useof the AP’s network bandwidth to balance data throughput of each AP and maximizeeach AP’s capacity of carrying data. Thus, users can enjoy high-quality Internetservices.Load balancing technology is to solve this problem. This paper make in-depthstudy in Load balancing technology, the main work is as follows:1)The paper summarizes and analyze the characteristics of the current loadbalancing algorithm, and given the problem in the practical application, a radioresource management solution which based on central control has been proposed, andthe sub-module resource management is under the central control algorithm’s control.2)Introduce the centralized WLAN architecture, and elaborate on the loadbalancing module which takes the center control algorithm as the core and active, passive, hybrid load balancing algorithm design ideas. And then specificimplementation steps.3)Build the WLAN system simulation platform by the Opnet simulation softwareto execute the optimized adjustment to the system based on the specific algorithm inthis paper.4)Simulate different kinds of real network on the constructed WLAN simulationsystem, and then make simulation by the program and algorithm in this paper. Thesimulation results show that the programs and algorithm of this article improve thenetwork performance.
