With the shared characteristics of the networktransmission medium, network monitoring gets and submits date package of currentusers to the knowledge repository search engine, it supplies a suitable tool fornetwork management members of the LAN users with real-time monitoring andanalyzing.This study is about the network monitoring technology, bases on WinPcaps,combines the package SharpPcap and. NET technology to research and develop apractical application tool. This tool will provide base date to LAN users’ furtherinterest on using and analyzing the knowledge resources with parsing the networktransport layer packet, extracting key information and capturing the information of aLAN user’s retrieval to specified knowledge repository.
