| The internet E-mail system is based on TCP/IP protocol. The TCP/IP protocol was designed originally to transmit rapidly data, but neglect the safety of internet. The E-mail message can easily be seen by common people, if we send and receive email in the system based on the TCP/IP protocol, as we send and receive email postcard in common post office. With the development of multimedia technology, the message of e-mail can easily be intercepted and destroyed by attackers. The early people ensure the safety of mail by the encryption technology, but now with the development of image and signal technology, the traditional encryption technology is not satisfactory. A new technology of multimedia information security E-mail——information hiding appears in the digital world. In the thesis, we introduce the conception and application of information hiding, and then we describe the development history and the basis theory of wavelet briefly. In the article, according to the different of the embedding method of information hiding, we introduce the information hiding method based on the wavelet transform. The space domain method was used in the earlier data hiding, but the robustness of the hidden image is very low. With the multi-resolution analysis of wavelet and the vision character of the human eyes, we decompose the image in wavelet domain, which can get better image and is more robust than the arithmetic embedded with hid information in airspace. In this paper, we also discuss method of hiding E-mail before E-mail is embedded to the original image. Here we use the baker transposition to scramble the hid information to get better attracted image. The experiment result indicates it can get a invisible hid image and it is also robust through our arithmetic. To transmit secret message and executable files and text files and other files, a generic method of hiding files based on wavelet transform is also provided in the paper. The experiment results show that good hiding effect can be achieved in the way. On this basis, we have also developed the system of sending and receiving E-mail based on information hiding technology. |
