Honghe University International Educators School Development Platform Based On The B/S Model

Under the promotion of world economic integration and industrial informatization,the internationalization of higher education has become the inevitable trend of thedevelopment of higher education of nations in the world. Foreign student education, asan important part of the internationalization of higher education in all countries, playsan irreplaceable role in extending the idea of boundless education, promoting thecourses construction and system innovation and promoting international competitionability. In the development of international education, there are three problems need tobe faced: the management of intermediary organizations, the correct guidance ofstudents and their parents and the management of abroad students. The rapidlydevelopment of internet technology makes international cooperation education establisha new internet-based platform for international education exchange, which could offerservice for oversea students and their parents communicating with their schools. Thisplatform is based but different from the traditional home-school interactive platform(HSIP). It is an extension of traditional HSIP considering the concrete conditions ofinternational education cooperation under the background of internationalization ofhigher education.The design and development of this system aims at matching the needs of thedevelopment of international education in Honghe University and establishing aneffective interactive platform by witch school, students and their parents couldcommunicate with each other at different places. After real name registration, thestudents and their parents can communicate with the teachers timely and effectively.They can consult, search and release relevant information and they can also discussonline within user authority. Under the background of the unprecedented developmentof international cooperation education, the design and development of this platformbecome more significant. It enriches the connotation of educational nationalization.This paper based on the development of information management system ofwebsite discusses the development process of the whole Honghe UniversityInternational Education Home-School Interactive Platform System (HUIE-HSIP). It also discusses the fundamental principle and methods of the system structure anddevelopment. The paper contains those parts: Preface, Programming Environment,Requirement Analysis, System Design, System Implementation, System Operation andMaintenance, Development and Conclusion. This paper gives a detailed discussion onthe requirement analysis of the system, the technology and application of systemdevelopment and the function of the system. During the development process, thesystem paid attention to the needs of easy operation, comprehensiveness and generality.As the users’ understanding of the system becomes deeper, the system will reanalyze,redesign and re-applicate it’s one or more parts. On the choice of the development tools,JSP program languages is chose as the main tool and the MS SQL SERVER Database ischose to guarantees the integrality and consistency of data.
