Gstreamer The Design And Implementation Of Media Player Software Test Automation Tools

Software testing, which is the important part of software development process, is the most powerful way to ensure the quality of the software.Currently, the main approach that still used in the software testing process is manual testing, automated testing has not been widely used.Useing automated testing tools can not only greatly improve the efficiency of the test, but also greatly improve the degree of automation in software testing.This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the automated testing tools and studies the theory and technology of automated testing, achieves the automated testing tool for GStreamer media player.This tool has the following characteristics:Firstly, the keyword driven test.Secondly, to make an accurate judgmentthe for media audio and video effect in the process.Thirdly,the generated test results is concise. The use of DOM technology, Log analysis technology, XSLT technology, SVG technology and so on, makes the test automation tool which according to the XML file test cases Settings to complete the corresponding test and carry out the script file as stipulated in the operation.During the test, the media player will generate a log file in the current directory. Based on the analysis of the Log file test results, it will be displayed in the form of a web page.The test tool, which can be used for the associated tool in function testing and regress testing, is practical and valuable for reducing the workload and testing time of manual testing, guaranteeing the software quality, reducing the software develop cycle and also enhancing the software quality.
