With the rapid development of information technology in the21century,the wave ofinformation globalization triggered by IT Revolution is strongly impacting every comer of theworld and penetrating into our daily lives and production and operation of enterprises. Inparticular,the development of Interact in recent years has changed Our society as well as many traditional ways of thinking. The situation before the enterprises has also undergone afundamental change.This paper focuses on the research, analysis, design in view of the demand of Panyu district capital construction office. Started from the rationale and the design method of the project management information system, the thesis discusses the present situation, the concept and the developing process of the management information system domestic and abroad. The thesis studies the functional characteristics of project management information system and discusses the exploitation method of project management information system. It analyzes the functional and systematic need of project management information system in Panyu district capital construction office including the operation flow and the description of the structure and functional. According to the need analysis, the writer tries to offer a total frame design including systematic system structure, network structure and the functional module design research, every subsystems’detailed design and the design of the relevant data base. This paper also studies the reality and the application of the project management information system in details. Finally, the thesis sums up and looks into the future of the Panyu district capital construction office’s project management information system.
