The Application And Improvement Of RSTP In AX-7005

With the development of multimedia, video conference and3G, the demand of the network propagation velocity and the network topology stability are becoming higher and higher. But the problem of propagation velocity between LANs has not been solved. Spanning Tree Protocol is a layer-2management protocol that ensures a loop-free topology in the network, and it is used to manage the data transmission between LANs. The problem that lengthy time of constringency for topology change exists in STP is solved by RSTP.First, the concept, emergence and the development background of STP are described in detail in this thesis. Second, the RSTP is realized under the guidance of core algorithm in the IEEE802.1w. Third, the improvement that aims at the flaw of RSTP is put forward, and it is taken as the key point. The improved method of RSTP mainly use for reference the IEEE802.3ad thought and utilizes the virtual port technology to make the ports of RSTP participate in the data transmission. After the improvement of RSTP, the backup resources of the protocol are utilized fully, the network transmission speed is increased, and the stability of network topology is enhanced. When add or eliminete the member port of the virtual port, the port does not need to be processed by the state machine, but skip directly to the state of the virtual port. Finally, the experimental results show that the prospective object has been achieved. The stability of RSTP needs to be further approved.
