For businesses, through the Office Automation (OA) systems, by the way of using information technology and network technology, we can optimize business process, it plays a very important role to improve office efficiency. In the process of continuously improvement of the work efficiency, the role of Office Automation system can not be ignored. The use of Office Automation system can make us to collect and process a variety of business information more timely, more accurately. The continuous development of computer technology and network technology can support the implementation of Office Automation system. Therefore, the study of Office Automation technology has a very important practical significance and value.Nowadays, the efficiency of organization or enterprise plays key role under the circumstance of highly fast developing information. In this background, office automation arises at the historic moment.This dissertation mainly studies the development and prospects of office automation and the present situation of domestic and foreign countries. Basing on this, through analyzing the current situation of the office automation system and related application technology, this dissertation explains the Web solution of the office automation system on.NET platform and describes the design plan of system structure, named: structure of Browser/Server (the browser/the server), the end user’s interface is unified in browser. This system is aiming to realize the function of the paperless network official business inside the units.This system realizes automatic management functions through.NET environment and SQL Server database such as public information service, public schedule, system management, etc. It can carry on the authority operation in conformity with oneself identity after landing according to the personal account number. It makes information interchange more convenient and more swiftly. After designing and testing in practice, it runs well. It realizes the anticipated goal basically. It can realize reducing the administrative cost, raising organ’s office efficiency and administration level.In the design process, we use the Web application framework based on.NET Framework. This architecture can separate the business logic module, the applications control module and data display function module effectively. Therefore, it can increase the flexibility of the application, and so it can enable the development of the entire system methodical, and easy to integrate, easy to maintain and upgrade.This paper has completed the design and implementation of Office Automation system, which can apply to small and medium-size enterprises. In the process of design and implementation of Office Automation system, we used design thinking and design principles with universal significance. The design idea can make the follow-up Office Automation system developers and users benefit.
