Algorithm Research Of Scalable Video Coding Based On3D Wavelet

With the development of video coding and internet recently, the transparent of internet video information is more focused by people, such as Video on Demand, video conference, distance education, and digital library which need more efficient video coding technology. The efficient of Scalable Video Coding is more focused by people, because the video coding technology need adapt different video service, minimize the impact of network transform channel error and signal loss, adapt multiple device, multiple encoding method, and multiple display method.This thesis have summarized the technology of video coding and the development of standards, and analyzed their scalable performance. After reading and analyzing the latest high efficient Scalable Video Coding technology, the algorithm of Motion Compensation Temporal Filter and Wavelet Coefficient Coding was improved, the new algorithm was applied, and the new algorithm have been used in our Scalable Video Coding system. In the improvement of MCTF, the db2wavelet with longer filter coefficient was introduced to improve the performance of temporal scalable, and in the Wavelet Coefficient Coding, the Embed Zeroblock Coding is introduced to realize lossless coding and improve performance of PSNR scalable.According to our applied algorithm, the simulation platform of scalable video coding was built up.Some experience was processed on the platform. At first, the applied algorithm of MCTF was compared with conditional algorithm. The result indicated that the PSNR of lowpass frame which got by applied algorithm was1-2db higher than conditional algorithm. Then according to applied scalable video coding system, the experience for whole performance was processed, include temporal scalable, spatial scalable, PSNR scalable, and full scalable. The result indicated that applied scalable video coding algorithm is able to apply video which frame rate is lower, resolution is lower, and the PSNR is fine-grained lower to satisfy multiple requirements. Further more, the willfully combination of three type video was achieved, so The Scalable Video Coding algorithm applied was high performance.
