Boilers are important heat exchange equipments in industrial production. Heat recovery steam generator is one of them, it use the remaining heat of the high temperature gas to heat the water supply of the the steam turbine systems, make its produce high temperature and high pressure steam, and then transported to work in the steam turbine units, which has increased the power, greatly improved the energy utilization.The importance of heat recovery steam generator is to control the evaporation area, and has the characteristics of distribution parameters, two-phase flow, nonlinear, and the complex coupling, making the control more difficult. In this paper, based on the existing control method, the controller is designed, and heat recovery steam generator computer control systems is designed and developed. Finally, functional test and experimental study of the systems are given. The main contests of the paper are as follows:(1) On the analysis of the problems and difficulties in the actual production process, the control strategy for the heat recovery steam generator process is researched, which includes process loop control, device logic interlock control. The process loop mainly includes drum liquid level control, steam pressure control, water supply pipe pressure control. Based on the drum pressure’s and drum water lever’s overall model building and analysising, the controllers were designed and the parameter of controller was set. In the Matlab simulation environment, that prove the effectiveness of the impulse control method, besides, the device logic interlock control includes start and stop device, the interlock relations.(2) Combining the characteristics of production process and control requirements of heat recovery steam generator, we put forward the structure of the heat recovery steam generator computer control systems, including process control layer and process monitoring layers, and carry out the functional design and software and hardware design of the systems, and develop the systems. The specific physical framework is consisted of Ethernet, control net and equipment nets, in order to realize the information integration and function integration of the control systems.(3) The developed control systems will be functional tested, such as data display and alarm, though the test we get the controller design method is effective.
