Recently, with the wide application of modern power electronic equipments and non-linear loads, a great deal of power harmonic is produced. Harmonic pollution in electrical power systems becomes more and more serious. And with the development of technology and people’s increasing requirement, the embedded systems is being used in more and more fields, especially in the fields of electronics communication, etc. From the aspect of the application and practice of embedded system, a kind of embedded harmonic analysis installment is designed and implement of software and communication based on the32-bit ColdFire microprocessor MCF5329EVB and the embedded operating system μClinux.Firstly, we focus on researching the methods of embedded system design, particularly, the embedded system hardware/software co-design. Hardware/Software partitioning is one of the critical steps in hardware/software co-design flow, and has very important influence on the final design. After analyze of some characteristics of embedded system, a GA-based algorithm for hardware/software partitioning with resource contentions is put forward in the paper.Secondly, we go on the research and design of embedded harmonic analysis installment. The design mainly takes microprocessor MCF5329EVB of32ColdFire series as the core of system control, and expatiate the hardware design of the module. At the same time, it uses μClinux operating system as software platform. Transplant the μClinux kernel to ColdFire embedded microprocessor MCF5329, and realized the application of harmonic analysis on this platform. The method of harmonic analysis is the core of the whole system. Therefore, the paper analyzes and deduces the interpolating windowed fast Fourier transform in detail. At last, it analyzes the implementation of interpolating Blackman-harris windowed FFT algorithm.
