Target detection in clutter environment undertakes the major task of the radarsignal processing. Clutter suppression is to keep the target as much as possible for anradar in clutter environment to improve its target detection performance. This paperfirst introduces several clutter suppression algorithms, and their features are analyzed.The method of weight coefficient library is adopted to achieve the program of adaptivemoving target indication. Then technique based on the characteristic vector method ofclutter suppression filter design is elaborated. The principle and structure of themoving target detection system comprised of the doppler filter group and the cluttermap detection are introduced. The technique of doppler filter group design is discussedas well as the influence of the recursion factor in recursive filter of the clutter mapdetection on moving target detection. Finally, the achievement of clutter suppressionalgorithm in engineering application is dicussed, the hardware and software designs ofthe detection system of radar signal processing are introduced as well as the specificimplementation of adaptive moving target indication algorithm based on the speedclutter map, the simulation results are compared in the end.
