Study Of Fast Handover Protocol In Cognitive Radio Network

This article mainly studies the fast handover protocol under cognitive wirelessnetwork environment, and its applications in resources mobility scenario. Firstly, therelevant theoretical knowledge about cognitive wireless network and mobilitymanagement under heterogeneous network environment are described. Optimizedhandover management scheme is pointed out as one of the most important factors,which can ensure the users’ quality of service. On this basis, it describes the cognitiveradio resources management structure and management procedure. Afterwards, theconcept of resource mobility is stated and the reasons leading to resource mobility areanalyzed. The importance of fast handover protocol procedure in resource mobilitymanagement is also introduced. And then, in order to ensure the continuity and user’squality of service, this paper studies a fast handover protocol procedure in terms ofreducing handover latency and increasing handover successful probability under theresources management structure. Then, the theoretical analysis and simulation are given.Simulation results show that the fast handover protocol can improve the performance ofhandover in terms of handover latency and handover access success probability incompare with traditional handover protocol procedure. Finally, the paper simplyintroduces the realization of the handover protocol under the laboratory environment.
