Network Security Construction Based On The Campus Networks Of Shaanxi Economics&Business School

Based on the requirement of network security for Shaanxi Economics&BusinessSchool, a corresponding security mechanism is built to solve the above-mentionedproblems and to ensure that all the teachers and students access the Internet steadilyand safely.With the rapid development of computer and network technology, the campusnetworks become vulnerable due to be attacked by virus, worms and Trojans. Theissues of network security systematically is analyzed, several common technologies ofnetwork security are introduced, the various security problems with which the ShaanxiEconomics&Business School faced are studied，and the requirement of security incampus networks is determined. The campus networks are divided into five safetyzone, i.e., network edge safety zone, server safety zone, core distribution layer safetyzone, access layer safety zone and terminal safety zone. Many technologies of networksecurity, such as firewall, reverse agent, VPN, VLAN dividing, access control, Identityauthentication, honey pot and so on, are applied in these five safety zone. Theconfiguration specification for crucial part is proposed and the examples are alsoprovided.After the network security architecture is deployed, a lot of tests are carried out.The practical results indicated that the functionality and performance of the projectfulfill the design requirement.
