Radar active jamming includes sidelobe jamming and mainlobe jamming. Theadaptive sidelobe cancellation (ASLC) is one of the most effective techniques to restrainsidelobe jamming. The fundamental theory of ASLC has been well studied and a lot ofliteratures on ASLC performance evaluation under ideal conditions are available. However, many issues should be further studied when the ASLC algorithm isimplemented in real radar systems. The mainlobe jamming suppression is also animportant issue in modern radar systems. Therefore, it is necessary to study effectivemethods to suppress the jamming.First, this thesis discusses some factors which affect the ASLC in a large circulararray antenna. It focuses on the accuracy of the weight estimation, the selection ofauxiliary antennas, envelop delays, and channel mismatch. And the correspondingconclusion is given at last. For the mainlobe can not be suppressed in conventional timedomain, frequency domain and spatial domain, this thesis proposes a method to resistthe mainlobe jamming with polarization. It describes the representation of polarization, antenna polarization and polarization measurements. In the end, it simulates thealgorithm of inhibiting the mainlobe jamming.
