Research On The Jamming Of Polarization Diversity Radar

Through polarization diversity and polarimetric adaptive to carry on the target recognition and anti-jamming is one of important radar technology development directions recent years, already puts in some applications. Traditional jammer uses fixed circular polarization or elliptical polarization antenna to receive radar emission signal and uses as far as possible fixed circular polarization or elliptical polarization transmitting antenna orthogonal the receiving antenna to transmit jamming signal. Although this kind of working mode which is independent from the radar polarization can receive and jam a variety of linear polarized radar at specified loss, but the polarization direction of the linear polarization radar signals can not be distinguished, the jamming signal can be easily identified, that will be seriously affects the jamming effect. It will be a new direction for the study of the ECM technology to the polarization diversity and polarimetric adaptive radar.In this paper, by the research of the system of cross polarized diversity radar, there are introduced three jamming methods. The first one is to transmit the polarization point jiamming which has the same polarization as the radar, as far as possible to ensure that jamming signal is fully consistent with the radar signal polarization. that is the basis for the false target jamming in the polarization field. The second one is to transmit jamming signal cross the radar signal polarization, let the radar antenna to receive the cross polarization signal to make angle track error, so that it can not correctly obtain target angle information. The third one is transmit two kinds of the cross polarized jamming signal simultaneously, them can be independent or relatived to make a complex polarization state. It will have the effect as the multi-signal jamming especially.
