Research On Secure Group Communication Based On Android Platform

Along with the development of information technologies, there appear many distributed applications based on dynamic peer groups in network, such as multi-user games, video conferences, chatting room and so on. Due to the dynamic topology and the center-less infrastructure, the security of communications in dynamic peer groups must be guaranteed. In order to provide secure services such as data confidentiality and integrity in these applications, the secure group communication system is needed, and the group key agreement is the core issues of the secure group communication system.This paper analyzes the group key agreement protocols for dynamic peer groups, compares the communicational and computational complexity of the MSTR、MTGDH and TFAN. Then we design and implement a system of secure group communication based on Android platform.The main contributions of this paper are as follows:1. We analyze the communicational and computational complexity of MSTR、 MTGDH and TFAN protocols for dynamic peer groups. Then we simulate these three protocols by experiments. The simulation results tell us that the TFAN is the most efficient protocol comparing the other two protocols.2. Based on Android platform, we design a system of secure group communication, in which the TFAN protocol has been implemented. During the implementation of this system, we strictly followed the ideas of software engineering and carefully carried out the requirement analysis, the summary design, the detailed design, coding and testing (The testing is on HTC G7Android smart phones.). Then we achieved a friendly user interface, a secure information transmission, a low system complexity and a perfect function.
