Satellite mobile communication technology as one of modern communicationtechnologies is an important part of the global personal communications. Wirelesschannel is a transmission media and an integral part of the satellite mobilecommunication system. The performance of wireless channel directly determines thequality of satellite mobile communications. In the design and terrestrial simulation ofthe satellite mobile communication system, the channel fading characteristicssimulation is essential to research.First, in this thesis, a variety of loss of the radio waves in the mobile satellitecommunication channel transmission are introduced, including large-scale free-spacepropagation loss, shadow fading and multipath effects of small-scale. The mathematicalmodel of multi-path effects and statistical properties of the channels are analyzed indetail. Second, the characteristics of m sequences are analyzed in detail. Band-limitedGaussian white noise is produced by the method of the m-sequence through a low-passFIR filter. The method has been simulated and provides a support for the hardwareimplementation. Then the Suzuki extended model is selected combined with thecharacteristics of the signal which the project is involved in satellite mobilecommunications. The model is simulated and analyzed in detail. Correctness of thesimulation method is proved by comparing the simulation results and theoretical results.Finally, the practical application parameter estimation method of measurementrequired is introduced. The initial implementations of satellite mobile communicationschannel emulator are proposed. The realization of the sampling frequency, themultiplicative factor of the channel, Doppler frequency shift and the additive broadbandnoise are analyzed, which laid the foundation for the realization of the hardwareplatform.
