As one development direction of radar technology, array signal processing hasbeen widely used in fields of both military and civilian. With strong anti-interferenceability, high environmental adaptability and detection accuracy, digital array radar alsoenjoys excellent performance in detecting targets. However, due to strict requirement ofconsistency among its array antenna units, inconsistencies in these channels will resultin array processing errors and affect its performance.In this paper, the author will try to study the channel equalization algorithm and itsimpact on the Adaptive Side-Lobe Cancellation (ASLC) system with the ElectronicCounter-countermeasures Improvement Factor (EIF) defined in the structure ofside-lobe cancellation system as a measurement index. Firstly, this paper introducesdevelopment of the side-lobe cancellation technology so as to provide the backgroundand current researches of channel equalization. Then, the author proposes the principleof adaptive side-lobe cancellation with the introduction of measurement factor, andconducts an analysis to correlation between channel mismatch and destructiveproperties. Finally, channel equalization algorithm and its improved algorithm areanalyzed with studies on factors affecting the equalization properties. Throughequalization simulation of mismatched channels, the author draws a conclusion. Bychannel equalization, the degree of mismatch will be reduced with fewer errors of phaseand amplitude among channels, improving performance of side-lobe cancellation andenhanced features of array processing.
