Digital zenith camera use area array CCD to get the stars image, to locate,identify and calculate the stars. Finally obtain the relevant mapping information. On thecondition of low and different light when taking photos, CCD photosensitivity is solonger and the noise of CCD dark current is so large that people can not distinguish theimage of the stars. In order to obtain high-quality star photos and to reduce the affect ofdark current noise, one possible way is to control the temperature of the CCD sensor forminimizing the dark current noise.A CCD temperature-control design based on researching the method of cooling onthe chip is put forward in the paper. At the same time the temperature sensor circuit、power circuit and microcontroller circuit is designed and implemented. After studyingthe new MCU AT32UC3A3256, the paper realizes the firmware of area-array CCDtemperature control system. Through the design of USB driver and application onwindows, the paper achieves interactive area-array CCD semiconductortemperature-control system. Finally, after system functional test, the results showed thatthe system meets the requirements of the design.
