A Study Of College Mobile Learning System Design

With the expansion of E-learning, the theory M-learning has raised widely attention in both academia and practice,also the spread of smart mobile device and the teachers and students are not beside the computer most of the time, so the E-learning system cannot meet the needs of the teachers and students by anytime and anywhere, and the M-learning system is that the teachers and students use mobile terminal equipments such as cell phones, PDA, car terminal, notebook computers by means of SMS, WAP, VPN, GPRS,3G, WIFI, etc to connect with enterprise’s office and business system, which will connect internal school LAN and grow into a safe WAN, realize the study at any time and any place. So, mobile office arises as a new study method at the historic moment.With the analysis of traditional teaching method, present to cloud, network, end to core design in colleges and universities ideological and cloud services architecture planning,it identifies target and the problems to be solved, and spreads function requirement analysis. In the design phase of the system, the first is to carry out the overall design of the whole system, and then makes subdivision according to the organization structure step by step. Through the analysis of business in the teaching system, it found redundant business in the process of examination and processed reorganizations. Through the analysis of the characteristics of the M-learning, according to the specific requirements of the learners, the system also added some new personalized functions, such as the weather forecast inquires function. To link with the M-learning theory, the system also has functions such as Self-guarding Learning.In the system implementation stage, the server using high-performance Linux host, MVC framework, modular development to develop server program, it realized agile development. At the same time it facilitates the function of system development. Using MySql community version as a relational database, it facilitated data processing, and cooperated well with mobile system development. The client uses the Android platform, combined with the image processing technology and event listener technology realization of the Android platform.Based on the construction of the M-learning system, it has met the needs of the teaching business, and can perform some of the expanding in advance, in the application of the teaching and study process; it has obtained good effect, and contributed a lot for E-education, improving the study efficiency and promotes students’self-guarding learning.
