The Campus Wireless Network Management And Application Of Optimization

After several years’quick development, Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) technology and scale has made great progress, which can be seen from the construction and development of campus WLAN. Currently, all high schools are grasping the great chance to speeden their construction of campus WLAN, some of which are almost mature on this aspect and begin to consider how to improve their WLAN to a higher level, such as improve their management and maintenance level, integrating more WLAN access mothods, developing more WLAN applications and maxmizing the using of WLAN resources.This paper introduces the development of our campus WLAN, elaborating the3rd stage WLAN construction frame, plan and implementation. The3rd stage applies Aruba AC+AP construction. It also applies professional AirWave internet management and realizes the integrate management of users and equipments, which can review and execute strategies and is also compatible to various equipments from different suppliers and develops a mature WLAN running and maintenance system.The paper elaborates the innovative development and application of our campus WLAN. We have studied the new management and application in WLAN construction. The paper elaborates the integrate WLAN mangement system of multi-supplier, campus wireless access system and various WLAN access methods. We have studied on the equipment selection for3rd stage construction and selected Aruba products in the end. We use AireWave manegement software to manage all wireless AP. We cooperate with Shanghai Education Committee and other high schools and open "campus wireless access system" on the basis cross-campus certified platform of Education Committee, thus facilitates the cross-campus visits and studies, With more access mothods of WLAN being developed, integration of more WLAN access has become a new demand. We expand the Wi-Fi from Chinanet of China telecom and CMCC of China Mobile to the college, thus enable the campus WLAN to emerge with the social internet resources and facilitate the teaching, researching, academic exchange activities and conferences as well.
