The Network Technology Research Of The Shanghai Mobile PTN Transport Network

At present, Shanghai Mobile has already set up the Metro Optical Network Systemwhich is based upon the network management system and the three optical network layersincluding the Core Layer, the Converged Layer and the Access Layer. Shanghai Mobilekeeps ahead among the domestic carriers, especially the mobile ones, in many ways, suchas the network dimensions, the technology level, the operational efficiency and so on.The essential issues for Shanghai Mobile which is facing the tough competitioninvolve introducing the latest technology and suitable network solutions, improvingreliability and flexibility of the network, providing new operation solutions.From2011, Shanghai Mobile Optical Network will keep suffering from extendingnetwork capacity and new operational deployments. Therefore, Shanghai Mobile wasoffered the challenges of how to neaten the existing network resource and how to optimizethe optical network by choosing the most suitable technology scheme, in order to establishthe stable foundation of the development of3G network.According to points mentioned before, we startup this project for studying how todesign the Metro Mobile Network by adopting advanced, intelligent, flexible equipmentsto develope the transportation of the new operations. Consequently, not only the carryability and QOS would be dramatically improved, but also a consummate network wouldbe set up to enhance the impress of “Mobile Communication Expert”.The1st chapter introduces the background of the purpose, marketing and technologyissues, followed by the2nd chapter discussing the technology feature, key technologiesand application superiority.The3rd chapter forecasts the demand increase and the equipment request for thefuture. Based on the model, the network optimizing of Core Layer, Converged Layer andAccess Layer is discussed in the4th chapter.Lastly, the5th chapter introduces the projects of Shanghai Mobile PTN SimulatedNetwork and Testing,.The point of this testing project is to provide the technology andexperience elements for the construction of the Shanghai Mobile PTN Transport Network.
