Design And Implementation Of Access Control In Radio Frequency Identification

With the wide application of Radio Frequency Identification technology, protection ofsecurity and privacy of information in RFID supply chain is becoming more and moreserious, which blocks the further development of the RFID technology in many industries.Research on RFID access control is of important practical value.First of all, we introduce a novel system of RFID access control and its overall structuredesign,which including modules of settings of role and permission, processing of complexevent, judging role of user, settings of private information and implementation of privacystrategy. System assigns different roles to different users, so that different users can seedifferent information in the same RFID supply chain, for they have different permissions.System implements privacy policies according to the private information that system setwhile querying to filter out the records current user are not authorized to access to.As to implementation techniques of this RFID access control system, system rewritecurrent user’s query statement according to the role of current user, the access permissionthe role responds to, as well as the private info Discovery Service and EPC InformationService set, then implements privacy policies, supporting element-level data access. Inaddition, system decides role of the current user according to the operation it executes onthe product. Because the same user may execute different operation on each product, sothe same user may have different roles in different tag-chains, thus realizing the dynamicof role.Finally, experiments about the given RFID access control system show that it realize itsfunction and meet its design goal.Compared with system without RFID access control, theperformance of this system has certain loss, and performance decreased by about25.2%.
