The RF mixer is a key component of wireless transceiver, and its main objective is torealize the frequency conversion using the linearity of mixer. This thesis focuses on thedesign of800MHz~2500MHz broadband IF up-conversion mixer, which is implemented in0.13um CMOS process. The designed mixer operates with IF input frequency from40MHzto500MHz, LO frequency from800MHz to2500MHz, and RF output frequency form800MHz to2500MHz. The mixer can work in low supply voltage such as1.2V and the totalconsumption current is about12mA. The mixer is composed of input impedance matchnetwork of IF port, mixer core circuit, gain amplifier circuit and output impedance matchnetwork of RF port. Folded switching topology is used as the mixer core circuit, which canwork in low supply voltage, and be of high conversion gain, and good linearity and noiseparameter. The three ports of the designed mixer are all matched to50Ω. Input impedancematch network is a common gate circuit, output impedance match network is a commondrain circuit and the LO port is matched to50Ω using the50Ω bias resistance of switchtransistor. By the simulation analysis, the design mixer can achieve a high conversion gain of12dB, good linearity, the output1dB compression point is about-14dBm and the outputthree intercept point is about-0.6dBm, and good noise performance which is about15dB.
