Remote sensing technology in mineral resources exploration,environmental andresource protection, mining dynamic monitoringv, egetation restoration, mine surfacesubsidencel, and slides and other geological disasters such as playing an increasinglyimportant role. Under normal circumstances, we need professional staff ERDASE,RMAPPER, ENVI, and PCI remote sensing software to process images. We also provide awidely used in mine mapping the MapGIS software to deal with remote sensing images, thusa better understanding of the functionality of the the MapGIS software in remote sensing, weprovide a new platform.In the paper, panchromatic and multispectral images in Landsat7ETM data format ofAmerica terrestrial satellite (Landsat7) are matched and fused based on the remote sensingimage information extraction by using MapGIS K9software. At the same time, the qualitiesof the fused images by using MAPGIS K9are evaluated. Remote sensing images areprocessed by using MapGIS K9on the images enhancement including principle componentsanalysis and normalized difference vegetation index and the best band combination. AndPC1、NDVI and multi-spectral bands merged into multi-bands files as the data source ofclassification of remote sensing images. Multi-bands files of processing of remote sensingimages and image enhancement are classified by supervised classification and unsupervisedclassification. Remote sensing images are edited with AOI by supervised Classification andclassified by four methods including supervised classification of Minimum Distance,supervised classification of Generalized Distance supervised classification of ParallelHexahedron and Maximum Likelihood Classification, and then remote sensing images ofsupervised classification are evaluated accurately. Unsupervised Classification adoptsISODATA methods to classify and concludes that MapGIS K9has better function ofprocessing remote sensing images, and We provide processing remote sensing images of anew software so as to lay a basis for the future use of remote sensing image analysis andinterpretation in the research of environment changes in coal mining.
