As a means of transport of the tall building, elevator plays an increasingly important role inour life, whose operating performance attracts more and more widespread attention. As distributedcontrol system (DCS) is the centralized management of decentralized control, the operatingperformance of the elevator system can be greatly improved. Based on the study of DCS system,this paper will discuss the process of how the elevator control system is designed.In this paper, in order to control the elevator distributively, SMATIC PCS7is used, whosehardware consists of the PLC (CPU417H) controllers, general-purpose inverters, remote ET200module and universal motors, etc., and whose software is a Siemens wincc7.0.In order to meet thedemands of making the elevator more comfortable and faster, the ideal speed of the elevatoroperation curve is designed to solve the problem that the general-purpose inverters elevator speedcurve is not flexibility enough. That is parabola-linear integrated velocity curve, which ischecked by mat-lab to finish the simulation analysis. Based on simulation results, the appropriatemodel of general-purpose inverters will be selected. In addition, the hardware design also includesa controller, the I\O cards, such as device selection and control cabinet.The software design of the control system is divided into two parts,which consistsof the lower machine and the host machine. The lower machine software is in chargeof the logic control and control of the elevator. And logic control can guarantee theelevator response to the call, fault and arrival signals correctly, while the speedcontrol uses the the PID control algorithm that has variable coefficient, which is animportant indicator of achieving the comfort of elevators. Meanwhile, the hostmachine software adopts the Siemens wincc7.0design to complete the monitoringsoftware configuration data collection of the control systems, which has the functionof elevator control, the velocity curve adjustment, the operator management, theoperation records and alarm records,etc.
