Switched mode power supply is a DC voltage source using power electronics technique andits control strategy. It owns series of advantages and is applied very broad.. It has been paid moreand more attention and become one of research focuses. The control strategy and characteristicsoptimization of Switched mode power supply are the main ways of improving its performance.This essay has done a comprehensive research on the compensation network called doublepoles-double zeros PI compensation network and its application in switched mode power supply.The research process is as follows:Firstly, the poles-and zeros of this network is analyzed, the forward topology is chosen asapplication object, the system model and load disturbance model are built and simulated usingMatlab. In the simulation, the analysis of magnitude margin, dynamic behavior, anti-inputdisturbance ability and anti-load disturbance ability of the system is paid more attention, the effectof the ratio k to the system performance is researched. The results show that this network caneffectively improve system performance, including system stability, dynamic behavior, anti-inputdisturbance ability and anti-load disturbance ability of the systemSecondly, the ratio k is selected according to the simulation results. Using the simulation data,a switched mode power supply device is designed. It is based on forward topology, use AC sourceas input, the maximum power is72W. In this essay, the overall design scheme and each module ofthe hardware circuit are elaborated, the parameters’ calculation process of all the significantelements is detailed, the function of software program and its implementation method areexplained.Thirdly, the device is debugged and tested. In the test items, the output range, output accuracy,voltage regulation rate, load regulation rate, DC-DC converting efficiency and voltage ripple areincluded. In the test results, the minimum output voltage error is0.03%, and load regulation rate is0.14%.Lastly, according to the simulation and test results, the overall effect of double poles-doublezeros PI compensation network on switched mode power supply is evaluated: This networkactually improves the system performance, it is showed as follows:1) the system can work stably; 2) the dynamic response behaves fast, the frequency of spikes in the output voltage waveformis not proportional to the switching frequency as integer;3) the anti-load disturbance ability of the system is excellent, the rate of load adjust reaches0.14%;4) the output voltage accuracy is great, the minimum steady state error reaches0.03%.
