With the increasing of range application requirements and the development ofsemiconductor technique, the servo drive technology is going into the high-precision,fully digital, highly integrated and intelligent period. At present, the shortcomings ofmany computer-based servo control system is exposed by bulky volume, high costsand low reliability. Given these disadvantages of traditional servo system, we havedesigned a "DSP+FPGA" based control core used in photoelectric thedolites digitalcontrol system according to the specific demands of our program.The framework of opto-electric tracking equipments is firstly introduced in thisarticle. At the same time, in the view of the actual needs, the main components of itscontrol system are analyzed.Secondly, we have analyzed the characteristics of "DSP+FPGA" based DigitalServo Controller framework, summarized the methods of designing "DSP+FPGA"based system and its schematics. The communication approaches between DSP andFPGA were mainly discussed and several kinds of different communication wayshave been simulated.At last, the present advanced control strategy and algorithm in the field ofelectro-optical tracking is introduced. Composite control, compliance control, coaxialequivalent control, dynamic integral control and composite axis control technologiesare the main content of the introduction. After that, dynamic integral control algorithmis particularly analyzed and simulated in matlab. Finally, considering the practicalapplications, the flow chart of the control program is illustrated, As a conclusion, wehave described the outlook of the development of the system.
