In2002, the first format radio in China “Music Radio” was set up. From then on,format radio has become a trend of radio development facing the fierce competition inthe media market. In2005,Hefei Story radio’s success triggered a wave of story radioopening in the nationwide and Chongqing story radio was born in such background.In the past five years, Chongqing story radio has experienced the establishment、four major innovations and at last it transformed to Art Radio in the development offormat radio. This thesis try to describe systematically the backgrounds for theestablishment of story radio from three levels、sort the development courses and focuson the difficulties it has faced and its own strategies.Chongqing Story Radio has faced many internal and external challenges such asfierce competitions、the lack of talents、 the single way of profits and so on.Facing all kind of challenges, Chongqing Story Radio constantly adjust itself inorder to find the most appropriate model to continue its format radio development.The last part of the thesis is trying to sum up the experiences from the developmentof Chongqing Story Radio and put forward some countermeasures in order to offersome beneficial references for the development of Chongqing art radio.
