The Research And Implementation Of MES In LCD Industry

When the economic and market globalization is becoming inevitable, the LCD industryis facing cut-throat competition. When Looks over the LCD production management model,we can find that from the day that the factory is broke earth, all enterprise’s operation and themanagement start to turn toward the synthesis and the integrated direction. MES(Manufactory Execution System) can resolves and optimizes the production planning andproduction processes out of integration problem, which is the bottleneck of the enterpriseinformation integration.MES is the core information system of production line which will collect all theproduction information. And MES can fulfill the customer’s production line requirement andhelp the management unit make the correct decisions. Therefore, it’s the most importantfactors that the enterprise promotes their competitiveness.This thesis studies how to implement the MES. To implement project successfully,enterprise should establish the project impetus team which can impels managers andproduction line operators to realize the business changes and interests brought by MES. Thenchoose the qualitative MES vendor. The implementation team should make certain ofcustomer’s business requirement, function requirement, software and hardware architecture.Especially, we should pay attention to the implementation model when implementingMES. This thesis summarized the MES implementation model and proposed an improvedmodel which is more suitable for LCD MES implementation. This model divides the projectimplementation to11stages. Which are the project initialization stage, the requirementinvestigation and study confirmation stage, the design stage, the construction stage, the datainitialization stage, the integration testing stage, system training, the system pilot run stage, the system finalization acceptance stage, the system go-live and the system transfer stage.This model was proved in the Tianma MES implementation. At the same time, this thesis alsosummarizes the project management methodology in MES implementation. The methodologyincludes how to carry on the communication management, how to carry on the changemanagement, how to carry on schedule management, how to carry on issues management,how to carry on the risk management and how to carry on project quality management.Each LCD factory will adopt their MES implementing process which will fulfill theiractual requirement. This research studies the procedure of implementing MES. Analyze thekey aspects of the MES implementation in LCD factory by actual case. Summarize the MESimplementation model, which can be taken as the MES project implementation template inthe future. And the research results may also take as a reference when implements the MES,which will accelerates the MES implementation progress.
