Brainstorm,a main means of collaborative discussion, is a critical schemeused in exploring creative intelligence. However, in the process of cooperativediscussion, people have difficulties in recognizing the important points due to thelimited cognitive ability. In addition, the concurrency, complexity and abstractionproperties of discussional content get in the way of recognizing the whole pictureof discussion and current hot topics, which in turn blocks the divergence of creativethinking. To enhance the efficiency of cooperative discussion, most currenttechniques have been developed for improving the performance of hardware system,integrating various multimedia platforms and building the high-performancetransmission of communication network, etc. However, there is seldom research ofprocessing the discussion content to enhance expressiveness of the collaborativediscussion. Thus, this dissertation combines mind map, which is an effectivevisualization tool for visualizing the thinking process of people. According tocontent of discussion, a visualization system which based on EMM(extended mindmap) is designed and developed. On one hand, it can clarify the relationshipbetween individual mind spots to assist people catch hold of the whole process ofdiscussion; on the other hand, assistant by expanded information can help peoplewith the divergence of target thinking. Three fields of research in this dissertationare as follows:(1) Build and realize two models of visualization in collaborative discussionalinformationTo display the content hot spot and its movement during the collaborativediscussion, firstly, this dissertation makes use of the form of EMM to definethe content information spots and the detail operating process. Then, accordingto the features of overall content information spots and all viewpoints belong toeach individual member, defines two different layout forms ofEMM EMindMap,EMM and PMM (Partic driven. MindMap), Meanwhile, usestwo different methods of visualization to realize.(2) Put forward two methods of information extraction for different data sourcesBecause our system could not only display the overall discussional content butalso expand discussional information, this system should gain both the keyspots and the extra information of the content. This dissertation proposes that the extra information can be gained by searching from the internet according togained key spots. Then, we provide the detail steps of searching extra info andprove the efficiency of this method by experiment.(3) Raise the method of calculating the importance of the expanded informationand the means of counting the importance of each attendee.By means of the method of counting the importance of web pages, thisdissertation puts forward a efficient method to calculate the importance of theexpanded information. Furthermore, a means of counting the degree of eachattendee affecting the final results is raised to provide a reliable objectivemeasure for collaborative discussion.
