This paper aimed at sonar receiver, the receiver’s signal and noise are simulated byunderwater acoustic channel model, and the sonar receiver’s hardware-in-the-loopsimulation is tested. The study result of this paper is reacted the real physical properties ofsea environment as far as possible, and can test of receiver’s performance before sea trails. With the principle analysis and computational simulation, this issue based on the signalform, ocean sound signal channel principle and marine environment noise, the simulationmethod of receiver input signal and noise is put forward. At the same time, put forward theactual receiver’s detection probability and false-alarm probability by sampled the receiver’soutput signal.According to the simulation needs, this paper analyzes the basic characteristics ofunderwater acoustic channel. And speed of sound in the ocean environment, sound fieldenvironment, propagation loss, ambient noise, reverberation, and other ocean acousticchannel parameters are introduced. By using classical theory, this paper analyzers the basiccharacteristics of the ocean acoustic channel parameters are analysised, and formula orexperience of value is given. On the base of the basic characteristics analyze of underwater acoustic channel, theunderwater acoustic channel modeling is simulated. In this paper, analysis of the underwateracoustic channel model basic theory-" ray acoustics theory” at first. then comprehensivedescript marine sound channel environment, and at last given the simplified underwateracoustic channel model by selected the eigenvalue voice through the parameter hypothesismodel. The model simulates the physical phenomena of marine environment as far aspossible.Realized sonar receive signal simulation and sonar receiver test using underwateracoustic channel model. Analysis of the receiver testing principle firstly, and sets up thesimulation module of signal source, channel and noise, also establishes the receiver’s testframework. Being aimed at the particular receiver, the simulation module simulates thereceiver’s output waveform of source signal through the underwater acoustic channel. Theoutput waveform is provided to sonar receiver testing, and from which the detectionprobability and the false-alarm probability of sonar receiver are concluded...
